Laramie Rivers Conservation District along with the City of Laramie contracted Stonehouse, Inc. to demolish the former Midwest Refinery Building which was a well-known eyesore in the Laramie community. When phase one and two of the project were completed the northern-portion of the site was cleared of the main building along with it accessory buildings and the area was be graded and seeded. Thanks to the proactive efforts of the City and the Laramie Rivers Conservation District in obtaining funding for this project, Stonehouse, Inc. got the opportunity to be a small part of this worthy clean-up endeavor.
Before reaching its final stage of disarray the site had an interesting former life. To learn more about its history and a local man who took the time to document its role in our community please click on this link: http://laramiemidwestrefinery.com/
